HVAC Installation

An HVAC system is more than the box outside your window — it’s the cooling, the heat for those few genuinely cold January nights, and the ductwork and ventilation that move air through every room. Central Air Comfort Inc installs complete HVAC systems for new construction, additions, remodels, and homes replacing patchwork setups that never quite worked.

In South Florida the priority is cooling and humidity control, so we design around those first — with heat strips or heat pump capability sized sensibly for our handful of cold snaps, not for a Michigan winter you’ll never have.

What this service includes

  • Full system design: equipment, ductwork layout, returns, and ventilation
  • Central AC with electric heat or heat pump configurations
  • Ductless mini-split systems for additions, garages, and converted spaces
  • New duct runs, plenums, and return-air sizing done to spec
  • Thermostat and zoning setup, including smart thermostat options
  • Permits, inspections, and manufacturer warranty registration

When a full HVAC installation is the right call

  • New construction or an addition that needs its own conditioned air
  • A remodel that changes the home’s layout enough that old duct runs no longer make sense
  • A garage, efficiency, or in-law suite being converted to living space
  • A home limping along on window units or a mismatched collection of old equipment
  • Rooms that have never cooled properly because the original ductwork was undersized

Designing the system as a whole — equipment plus ductwork plus returns — is what separates a house that feels evenly cool everywhere from one with a cold hallway and hot bedrooms.

What to expect

  1. Design visit. We assess the space, run the load numbers room by room, and design the system — then quote it in writing, free.
  2. Installation. Equipment set, duct runs installed and sealed, electrical connected, thermostat configured. Duration depends on scope; you’ll have a schedule before we start.
  3. Balance and verify. We measure airflow room by room and balance the system, then walk you through operation and filter care.

Typical timeline: design and quote within days; installation from one day (equipment swap with existing ducts) to several days (full system with new ductwork).

Recent full-system projects have taken us across the area, including Miami Beach, Miami, and Hialeah. See all our service areas, or check pricing & financing.

HVAC Installation — FAQ

Do Florida homes really need heating?

A little, yes. South Florida sees a few nights most winters in the 40s — enough that you’ll want heat that works. Most homes here use electric heat strips in the air handler or a heat pump; both are sized modestly and cost little to add during installation.

What's the difference between HVAC installation and AC installation?

AC installation replaces or adds cooling equipment, usually on existing ductwork. HVAC installation is the whole system — cooling, heating, ventilation, and often the duct design itself. New construction, conversions, and gut remodels typically need the full-system approach.

Are ductless mini-splits a good option here?

For the right space, excellent. Additions, converted garages, and rooms the main system can’t reach are ideal candidates — no duct runs required, high efficiency, and independent temperature control for that space.
